The village of Espiritu Santo built a temporary bridge after they were cut-off by the 2017 El Nino flooding. Prior to the roads opening up, and before the government flew-in supplies by helicopter, for a week and a half I carried cans of tuna, bread, water, and Bibles as far as I could get inching a little further along the broken-up road each day.
The voyage is not so long as the destination is so eternal.
