Every Christian is called to bear witness of the work of Jesus Christ in their personal life. (Luke 10:1,2) Christ called His disciples from various backgrounds and vocations. The general calling is to be unified in Christ,  Philippians 2:5 says, "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus".
