To the Supporting Churches of Kris and Rose Marie Blumer,
Faith Baptist Church in Taylors, SC, is honored to be the sending church of Kris and Rose Marie Blumer to Peru.
Kris and Rose Marie Blumer answered God’s call to go to Lima to work in a private Christian school, La Molina Christian Schools, several years ago. When they went, they knew they would also be serving in existing churches to help strengthen those ministries. Over the past two years, God has used them to co-labor in a new church plant in Jesús María.
Over the past year God has been opening doors for a church plant within several small villages in the mountain district of Antioquia. They are amazed at the contacts they have made in these villages. People are open for Bible studies and several have offered their homes for these Bible studies. Kris continues to teach full time at La Molina Christian Schools, but God is stretching them in the area of church planting as well. This is a growing burden and one Kris cannot dismiss.
Our Missions Ministry Team and church are fully behind the Blumers as they explore this church planting opportunity and would ask that you continue to support them in this new direction. We are thrilled to think that God is using the Blumers to reach people in remote areas that others have not reached.
Please continue to pray with us for the Blumers.
Yours for souls in Peru,
Sent out from Faith Baptist Church, Taylors SC in 2010, Kris and Rose Marie Blumer moved to serve and minister for the Lord in Peru through Worldwide New Testament Baptist Missions (WWNTBM).
In February 2013, Kris began serving in an English immersion school as the Bible teacher for secondary students at La Molina Christian Schools (LMCS). He was asked to focus on the implementation of concise, doctrinally-sound Bible curriculum for the school. During those first formative years (2013-2016), Kris and Rose Marie assisted a missionary couple through an established local-church plant, which was going through a difficult transitional period, until a national pastor was installed as the Senior Pastor.
In 2016, the Blumer’s helped to form a core group of believers to share the burden they had for the capital of Peru. In May 2017, Iglesia Bautista Gracia was officially chartered. Gracia has continued to grow and is now under the leadership of Peruvian pastors.
Since 2022, the Blumer's have transitioned into a Church Start phase of ministry. Kris' focus is to plant a church plant in Cerro Azul, a small fishing village South of Lima. To do this, Kris and Rose Marie enrolled in language school and have contracted a personal teacher each week for individual and in depth studies, especially for pastors and wives.
May the Lord use the advanced skills, and their desire for ministry at a deeper level, to bring-forth fruit in His Name!
